"Inspiring developments -- Democracy is on the march in the Middle East. Yesterday, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians hit the polls for the first time of parliamentary elections in ten years. Which democratically elected party walked away victorious? Oh, it's Hamas! Yes, Hamas the militant Islamic group that is very anti-American and calls for the destruction of Israel, and wants a theocracy in Palestine. Though, on the plus side, they have returned all the money given to them by Jack Abramoff." --Jon Stewart

Well I just got back from Dennys had breakfast as dinner in the morning. Take that timestream! The couple behind me had about a 2 year old that was crying. At first I ignored it as a stereotypical kid crying. Then I realized it was 2:30 am. WTF? Don't bring a little kid out to Denny's at 2:30 AM. Granted a solid sleep schedule is just a parents wet dream at that age but still.

Anyway Peoria Folk, Dennys gives a 10% student discount and also military. The waitress who ran my card thought that our discount should be bigger than the police's who get 20%. I replied "Yeah we're poorer, but they are the ones who get shot at." "Hmm yeah I guess you're right."

Actually, any kid that doesn't have a solid sleep cycle at age 2 shoudl be taken to a physician because it's only about the first six months or so that kids don't sleep through the night. After that, either parents are being stupid (seems to be the case) or the kid likely has a medical problem.

while you are probably correct, don't directly quote me.
I suck at guessing ages and I didnt even really look at the kid except for before we got seated.

The mother also got put in my "riiiiight" book because she got upset when the waitress wasn't instantaneous with bringing her more sugar, even after I handed them some of mine, and there were 4 other empty tables in easy reach with sugar on them.
